Updates on Aerynn:-
- Weight: 6.3 kg Height: 62 cm (She’s on the 90th percentile)
- She is now officially fully on breastmilk. The hardwork of expressing tonnes of EBM in the freezer is all wasted as this little spunky girl refuses to take bottles since a couple of weeks back (much to my frustration). Now I am thinking whether I should stop expressing and just continue to nurse her.
- She will coo in response when people talk to her. Her favourite person is definitely daddy as she will even coo when he walks into the room (he has exclusive bragging rights to this!).
- She has discovered that her fist makes for good chewing 2 weeks ago. Sometimes she will slip her fingers through her mouth during nursing and continue sucking *slaps head*
- I find that she sleeps longer on her stomach. Therefore, during naptimes, I turn her around after nursing on the bed. She naps 2-3 times a day. Her naptime ranges from between 1-3 hours.
- She sleeps through the night now . She needs to sleep by 10+. If not she will get cranky and cry.
- The good thing is she doesn’t cry when she wakes up in the morning if she sees mummy laying down next to her. She just turns and tosses around on the bed. Unfortunately, the instant I get up and leave the room, she will start to wail
. - Sometimes, when we are all busy with household chores, we just ignore her cries and leave her kicking and wailing alone in the playpen at the dining room. (Daddykhong’s theory – she will stop crying after a while and wait for us to be done). So far it’s working. But mummykhong thinks that she’s tired of crying already…haha.
- She is such a smiley baby. She smiles when people are looking and talking to her. Hmm..she smiles more to daddy though.
- She loves to lift her head up when she’s in the car seat or sitting on our laps.
- She’s very alert when she’s awake.
- She is still doesn’t really like tummy time. She can hold her head up but not for long.

qiqi too refuse from bottle from 6 months onwards. since u are staying at home, why not feed directly? safe the trouble of sterilizing and washing.
Chin Nee, we are sometimes out for dinner with friends. It’s difficult to nurse her direct outside. That’s the reason why I need to train her to take bottles.

A lot of people kept thinking if the baby is on breast milk they can’t sleep through.. which is not true indeed.

i also leave my baby wailing away when i need to do work but he is more persistent. he can cry non-stop until i pick him up!
She’s heavy for her age! I’d advise to mix feed her with the bottle too coz if you don’t, she will reject the milk bottle in future and you will be in for trouble, just like me. My baby (now 17.5 mths) has to be spoon-fed formula twice a day and it’s torturous coz she dislikes formula!
Oh ya..I read about Baby C’s formula rejection. Gee…I must really train this little girl to take bottles. Thanks for the advice, Shireen!

Haha, such a cutie! Seems all our babies are very much similar in weight, and characters! My baby also found her fist, and when she is nice n quiet in the car, it’s most probably she is happily sucking her chubby fist. LOL.
