Aerynn: 4 months old

When Aerynn is in a cheerful mode. She always rewards us with her smile.

Updates on Aerynn:-
- Weight: 6.8 kg (Based on the weight and height, she’s on the 75 percentile)
- Height: 66 cm
- Once in a while, her ezcema would flare up especially on the face, neck, and the arm and leg folds as her skin is fairly sensitive.
- She is rejecting bottle-feeding - mainly because of the Avent teats (I think they are too hard). She would cry her lungs out and arch her back to protest each time we feed her with an Avent bottle. We have started using Medela bottles which come with softer teats and since Medela replacement teats are not sold in Malaysia, we searched high and low for a suitable replacement. We found this in the end
. - She can’t drink 4 oz of EBM at one shot. I have to split it up into 2 sessions. Looks like she’s a small eater like her jie jie. Hopefully she won’t give me problems when it is time for her solid food at 6 months.
- She sleeps very early at around 8-9 pm as opposed to her brother and sister last time when they were younger. She will cry and fuss until I put her on the bed with my boobs as her pacifier. This also happens to be the same time when we have the evening mad rush to to get the 2 elder kids to bed.
- During night time, she automatically turns herself to my body searching for her human pacifier.
- Early sleepers always start their days early so she is up at around 7 am.
- She sleeps through the night for about 5-6 hours straight. After that she wakes up frequently for her milk feeds till I wake up at 7 am.
- She has started blowing raspberries 3 weeks ago.
- Minimal direct nursing when we are out. She is often distracted by the surroundings and when that happens, I will offer her EBM in a bottle or nurse her in the car.
- When kor kor and jie jie are watching TV, she turns her head towards the TV too when she is placed on the playgym.
- She loves smiling and talking. She coos non-stop when people are talking to her .
- Her head is very steady for her age. She keeps lifting her head up when she is in the carrier.
- She loves to be carried. She will keep quiet and stay still when I sling her (but I must be walking around - I stop walking, she cries). Very easy to get her to sleep when she is in the sling.
- She loves to bathe.
- Hates lying down. Loves sitting up. Must be propped up on the bed with pillows to sit and watch kor kor and jie jie running around the room.
- Aerynn latest trick: sticking out her tongue!!! Started right after she turns 4 months old

eeeee … so so cute, i love her smile … enjoy this moment …. so gooooood she sleeps through the night for about 5-6 hours straight ??? my baby J wake up every 2 to 3 hour everynight
my baby is a big eater and get hungry often, he is drinking 5oz at 2 months and within 5 minit … sometime i wander why my bb so hungry ????
