Shayanne’s 2nd Birthday cum Reunion Dinner – 25 January 2009

We celebrated Shayanne’s 2nd birthday on CNY eve with the extended family at Maju Palace. A much smaller-scale affair than what we did for Braedyn for his 2nd birthday.

We bought her 2 gifts (one from the parents and one from Braedyn). We thought she would like a dollhouse and a baby to play with since she always loves to give hugs to other babies!

Shayanne was so fascinated with the birthday cake.

While Braedyn didn’t say or do much at his 2nd birthday party, Shayanne was eagerly waiting for her big day to come. She would practice singing Happy Birthday with Braedyn at home and in the car, blow a make-believe cake, cut it up and serve us make-believe cake slices!

On the day itself, she didn’t disappoint anyone. She sang, clapped and blew the two candles so many times until the entire cake was splattered with her saliva! When it came to present-opening, she was ECSTATIC and each time a present was revealed under the wrapper, her face would light up with joy and her lips broaden into a HUGE smile! She loved each and every one of the presents but her personal favourite would be the baby that Braedyn gave her. She carries it everywhere with her and pretend plays with her.
